Charging and syncing it now. The buttons seem a little stiffer than in my mini but that may be just due to use of the mini.

What's wierd though is that it does sound subtly different than my older 3g ipod. I can't say better or worse but noticeable.

This is with the same set of AAC files on both units. Still playing with it. The new scroll/button wheel is a huge improvement over the older design

I let it run all day today, hooked up to some speakers, playing a playlist at about 50% volume.

It ran all day (9.5 hours) and as of this moment the battery indicator is still showing about a third left so it looks good.

Here's hoping since better battery life was the main reason I bought it

anyway, i'm way past the repalcable battery issue. I'll want something new by the time any of mine wear out. my oldest DAP is going on 2 years and still works fine.
