The long awaited Bottlehead S.E.X. amp arrived this week.
It took 3 nights of assembly and it was all done.
It has only been running for about a day, but so far I'm very impressed.
Initial impressions: Rich midrange, sweet smooth highs, KILLER BASS!
I've been pulling out the headbanger stuff because it's so much fun on this amp.
Those of you coming to the next Chicago meet will get to hear it
The kit was up to the usual Bottlehead quality and the instructions (The S.E.X. Manual) are on CD ROM. There is a lot of work to do, but it's pretty straightforward and clear as long as you follow the instructions and take your time. If you can work a soldering iron and can tell a resistor from a cap, you can probably build it.
