Experience has shown, that power transistors in certain circuit topologies CAN over-react to Altmann “Tube-o-lator" lacquer. Over-reaction will lead to a dumb sound (that will make you feel sick), because too many overtones are filtered. If you experience over-reaction of a device, remove the “Tube-o-lator" lacquer with a carpet knife after curing, or wipe away before curing.

Always great when an enhancement could possibly make you sick. I wonder how sick?

The stuff is mainly carbon, applied to plastic. They say "Only coat the top surface of the chip-package. Not the leads! If leads are accidentally coated, don't worry, the lacquer has perfect isolating properties after curing."

I know, this forum is not for putting down products but this is pretty shoddy. It's off the market now so they could make it exclusive to their products. More power to 'em.

He doesn't really mean it literally. His site is filled with a lot of hyperbole - no doubt a remnant of his german to english translation.

My favorite part of that site is where he claims that if you listen to identical components, one treated with the Tube-o-later, then one treated without, you won't hear any difference at all. The reason you won't hear any difference at all is because your "ears been oiled." Uh-huh.

I find that all the time that if I listen to something stock and then listen to a modded one, I'll think I hear an improvement, but if I switch back, I won't hear a difference.
