Im not sure how it does with the hybrid, but i do know that the ALPS "blue velvet" is usually a safe (and IMO, excellent) pot to use with most projects.

You can get it through tangent's audio parts shop.

the plans call for a 50K pot, will that make a difference?

The ALPS "blue velvet" pot that you get from tangent's audio parts shop is a 50k pot.

Just about any knob should do fine. But make sure that it fits a shaft with a diameter of about 1/4 inch.

However the shaft of the pot is approx. 1 inch long. So unless you mount it farther into the enclosure you may have some trouble finding a long enough to cover the whole shaft. If that doesnt work, then you can take to sawing.

On my PIMETA, I had this problem and the knob stuck out from the enclosure about 1/4 inch. I was going to cut it and then just decided to leave it alone. But im sure you can mount it back in the enclosure so that the knob you get fits.

Ok that was my spiel.

It's due to the colour of the case (which is blue). ALPS also made the "Black Beauty", a now-discontinued black-cased pot that was an upscale (and more expensive) version of the Blue Velvet.

Yes, it's a 6mm shaft. Kilo makes some nice knobs to fit them. The ML series is popular among the DIY amp builders here. I like the look of the DDS series, personally.

Normally, I'm posting by around 7:00 pm PT. But, today, my first post (three above this one) was at 9:23 pm PT because I couldn't get into the forum. It gave me this error everytime I tried: Quote:
