I need some headphones that are
balanced
High quality sound
Good Bass, Mid, and treble.
for Listening to old hip hop, Alternative rock, classical.
Preferably have good isolation (dont want to have to turn the volume up to unhealthy levels to hear the music).
Need to be versatile, use for public transit, walking, maybe working out (lifting) but not running.
And The big limiter, They need to buy inexpensive. I would like to spend no more than $70.
I know you cant have everything but the more of what i need for the least money the better.
From the research i've done on this site and others i am thinking the RE-0s.
Also for my purposes would you recommend the Etymotic MC5 over the RE-0 or backwards.
EDIT: I've seen some posts saying that the RE-0 sounds bad for hip hop. If i eq my ipod do you think they will sound good. I typically enjoy listening to music exactly how the artists meant for it to be. IE: on balanced speakers i keep the eq flat.
