I am looking for a high quality threadlock (like loctite) that is safe on plastics. I tried looking at loctite's website but they have a million different products, poor descriptions and a really crappy and confusing layout. Anybody know a good one I could use?

Thanks. Hmm.. it says low strength. Will it hold screws in place reliably? It says it's a "cyanoacrylate adhesive" which is a fancy term for super glue. Although it looks like it has a much wider temperature range than superglue and it's blue. Maybe more viscous...

Would it be possible to use a lock nut to hold this together, or is the bolt not attached with a nut? MSC has a ton of different types of lock nuts. You can get ones that are completely made of nylon if that is important.
MSC Search Results

Loctite's official FAQ says that their "threadlockers should only be used on metal-to-metal applications, because the Threadlocker turns into a plastic-like substance."

Edit: Ok, ordering from MSC for personal use with something like this isn't practical since the min order for their nuts is 100, but that should give you an idea of what you can find.

No, a lock nut won't work, I need a strong threadlock...
