I've got a pair of SR60's, but I'm looking for a pair of sealed cans with flatter response and more bass. Great resolution, but a bit too much in the mids, esp. around 250 hz.

I'm considering a pair of AKG 26P's, D66sl's, or even a pair of Audio Technica ATH-PRO5s (DJ 'phones). What else should I add to this list? Senn HD201's?

Likely an impossible category, but still....

+ Audio Technica ATH-a500s (currently $96 shipped to the door using coupon code). Has a little bit of a recessed midrange though...
- The D66s won't give you thick bass. Maybe even less than the SR60s... It's tight and clean though.

It's tough to beat Senn hd280 performance for sealed cans under $100. I'd suggest you give them a try before you buy, since its very low bass is not to everyone's taste.

I just bought myself an HD201 and I'm enjoying it a lot. I've been pleasantly surprised. I didn't fancy such a correct and crisp sound with such a little 'splurge'. Vocals and the whole midrange I find very well done, better than the PX100 !
