Good songs to wake up to.

I don't think the lyrics are " s*ck on my big 10 inch" Rick.

Isn't it "get out my big 10 inch" or "stick/put on my big 10 inch"?

It's amazing the tricks a dirty mind will play on people.

I'm Only Sleeping - Revolver
Good Day Sunshine - Revolver
I'm So Tired - White Album (1)
She's Leaving Home - Sgt Pepper's (only if it is wednesday morning at five o'clock)

For Sleeping Tunes:
Good Night - White Album (2)

There are others I can think of but they are more loosely related

I have the perfect song

Rossini: Overture - William Tell

It begins with a nice sweet sun rising in the morning theme, and the little baby bamby who has just awoke rubbing his eyes with his cute little hooves, then he prances around with the birds and the wabbits and the butterflies and then it drops off to . . .

(at a significantly higher volume)
Horses riding at top speed . . with gunfire and wind wipping past your face and extreme speed and the beat of the horsies hooves.

Well you get my point. For those who don't wake up after the initial peacefull intro, they'll be jolted awake to the sounds of trumpets blaring and drums beating. It's beautiful. Plus it'll give everyone a good kick in the pants to start off their day.

hm..
last year I had my next door to wake me up with
"have you smelt what the rock is cooking" in the morning,
it worked.

Or he would play a sound track with "bombs"

I've woken up more sleeping mission trip people than I care to count. I usually just go to the kitchen and get the biggest heaviest pot I can find and a large blunt object with which to bang it. This will work well for you because the pot and blunt object will double as weapons for defense against those that you really annoy.

If that's not really your style, I used to set the TV to come on in the mornings to wake me up. One morning James Taylor was performing "Your Smiling Face" on one of the morning shows (you know the one, they play out in the street...). Anyway, that was really a nice way to wake up....even if you don't like him, the song is happy and simple and that's what I need in the morning.

For a school group: Pink Floyd's Another Brick In the Wall, part 2

In general: Gershwin. "Promenade" is nice.
Or Shostakovich's Symphony no. 8, 3rd movement.
Or Mussorgsky's Dream of the Peasant Gritzko (night on bald mountain)
Or Gliere's Red Poppy

Just buy the Delos CD "Engineer's Choice 2" and hit "randomize"...

"I'm looking for some music that has a waking up theme"... For a church group, I also like "Morning has broken", but I'd also like to submit, "Psalm 5"

-C--------------Dm-------C
Give ear to my words, Oh Lord
--F--C--Dm--F----G
Consider my meditation
-F-----------------C---------Dm
Hearken unto the voice of my cry
----F-C-Dm--F---G
My King and my God
-----F---C---------Dm
For unto thee will I pray
-----F----C---------Dm--F------G
My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning
----C
Oh Lord in the morning
---Dm----------C-----------F
Will I direct my prayer unto Thee
-C-Dm--G---F---C
And will look up.

This would be a great way to start off each morning!

God Bless, Christianbro
