several people in diyaudio has mentioned this and they seem to be people who are more knowledgeable than your average joe and people who works/owns in electronic/electrical companies

The point was that with some good flux, the difference in brands and types of lead based solders becomes a minor thing. Flux keeps solder very workable in normal blends.

I found the Kester flux "magic marker" pen and .015" No Clean 63/37 are a good combination. For 0805 and SSOP, I think 15 mil is the way to go. As for silver, is there anyone here who claims that it makes an audible difference
