Trying to take advantage of the high loonie and am interested in upgrading my HD580 to either the HD650 or the K701.

Anyone here has recommendation over a reputable internet dealer that I can purchase it from (apart from our sponsors here).

Especially for AKG K701, I've been seeing prices ranging from $239 to $300+. Any good recommendations on where to go for the lowest price? I will also enquire with our sponsors to see if they are willing to match any of these prices.

As for HD650, it is still quite pricey, eventhough these phones are quite old. I've not seen much below $350. Anyone seen any lower prices?

Finally, recommendations on which might be better? I mainly listen to Classical (concertos), Jazz and Acoustic.

Also, I have a Corda Aria as an amp connected to a Sony SACD player.

holy thread thread revival, batman! I was going to suggest the Q701 or K702 over the K701... but they didn't exist at the time of the OP
