I was looking at an amp from Hi-Fi called the Hi-Fi M8 (designed by you folks, word has it), and watched a review over them, and they look like they're amazing pretty much all around. The problem is (for me), they're expensive, $700, and I don't wish to pay that much. The amount I'd ideally/realistically want to shell out is $200, and my top amount would be around $450.
I was hoping someone had some advice about an amp/DAC with similar all-around quality, but don't need to be so powerful, I guess, for more low-impedance headphones. I actually plan on getting the AKG K702/65 open-back headphones, and want a bit more bass, where it's very crisp, and not muddied.
