But what's the point of getting it when Pulse is pretty much the exact same thing, only better?

Good to hear it's finally been released on DVD and CD. I have Pulse on DVD and don't care for it.

Pompeii has the best versions of Saucerful of Secrets and Echoes ever IMO
PULSE has the best version of Comfortably Numb ever IMO

Both are fantastic and my favorite live Floyd albums. Even better with video

x2. Plus, Set the Controls for the heart of the sun is mesmerizing also... when the heavy drumming comes in is pure exaltation!

Although Ummagumma is not my favorite Floyd album is the one I've listened the most... by a great margin! Just a pitty my vynil version is so fried already, but the dynamics and flow on this recording is unmatched by any of the CDs I've listened to yet.

My three favourite "Floyd" lives are: PULSE, David Gilmour's Live in Gdańsk and Roger Waters' In the Flesh. Yeah, not so Floydian since somebody is missing from every record, but the performances are stunning, simply stunning!
