I need help deciding on a pair of good overall headphones for under $180. They can Noise-Cancelling or not, over-ear or on-ear and I listen mainly to Rock, Electronic, Alternative and Hip-Hop Music. I have some headphones in mind but if you guys have other recommendations I am open to anything.

Headphones I'm Considering:

Monster Inspiration - $150
Sony MDR10RNC - $135
Sennheiser HD558 - $150
Sennheiser HD 360 Pro - $70
Klipsch Mode M40 - $180
Klipsch Image One - $160
Monster DNA - $100
Ultimate Ears 6000 - $100
Audio Technica M50 - $180

If none of these sound good to you I am open to any suggestions as long as they are under $180 CAD.

Thanks

Not sure where you are getting your prices, but I'm getting more like:

Monster Inspiration - $200
Sony MDR 10RNC - $220
Sennheiser HD 518 - $80
Sennheiser HD 360 Pro - $100
Klipsch Mode M40 - $155
Klipsch Image One - $57
Ultimate Ears 6000 - $85
Audio Technica M50 - $100

Mind if I ask where you are shopping? And Klipsch Image One was listed twice in your poll. Are they different ohm versions or something? I don't have experience with most of those, so I don't know if I can help you.

The prices are from Futureshop and they have a sale going on. I'm from canada so most things will be more expensive.

I fixed the 2 Image Ones, one was supposed to be the Monster DNA.

i suggest you just take off the klipsh mode m40 altogether. theyre REALLY uncomfortable, and sound is really quite mediocre. At 155 its more acceptable, but still not great, and man... that clamping force... ...

Beyerdynamic DT660 for flat closed can, DT770 for hot closed cans. Both isolate quite well. The 770s may be just out of your price range, but I'm not from the great frozen northlands so I'm not sure.

The UE6000 is the best out of those.  Why that M50 is $180 is beyond me.

The ATH WS99 should be considered.  They're better than all of them imo.

If your in the realm of open cans, the MA900 trashes all of those.  HD558 is pretty good too.

Are the Monster Inspiration or Sony MDR 10RNC good headphones?

Between the Monster Inspiration, Sennheiser HD558, Sennheiser HD 360 Pro, Ultimate Ears 6000 and Audio Technica M50 which are the best headphones?
