This is a long shot, but I just got back from a road trip down to Vegas and through New Mexico and back and the farther I went south, the cheaper and better the mexican food got.

I know in the states it's easy to find good Mexican, corn tortillas, refried beans and such, but in Toronto all I ever find is Tex-Mex, which just isn't the same.

Does anyone know where I can find authentic mexican food for cheap in Toronto?

You have a choice, authentic or cheap but you can't have both. (DIY?

I have been to Toronto but never tried Mexican food in that city

That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if you can find good or at least decent Mexican food in Canada.

I’ve read reports that Mexican food has made a huge impact on the continent of North America that even in Alaska, people are enjoying Mexican food. I prefer authentic Mexican food like the organ meats but I’m pretty sure that good “mainstream“ Mexican food can be found in every major city on the North American continent.
