Hello all, recently my good ol' Samsung (comes with the Galaxies) headphones gave out, and the pure low quality of some 1st gen Apple headphones has convinced me I needed something nice. Im not so much of an audiophile, but these things just plain suck. I would like to get a decent pair, that wont break and has good spectrum (highs, mids, and lows). My price range is around $100 USD. Some of the pairs I have been looking at are the Klipsch S4A II, Velodyne vPulse's, ATH-CKM500, and Razer Hammerhead Pro's. I listen to heavier stuff, mostly alternative metal and hard rock (Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, etc.). So obviously I dont need the biggest bass boost ever created for the electronic/dubstep scene. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Also, I use a Galaxy Note 2, so if the headphones have a in line controller that works with it, that would also be optimal.

Razer? lol. I didn't even know they started making in ear monitors.

All jokes aside, I say take a look at the Hifiman RE400. It's an all-round home run, IMO.
