i listen to anything but i do like my bass

Hi,

You should consider Shure Srh-840, SoundMagic HP100 and ATH-WS99. Neither of them need extra amplification. Maybe WS99 have the edge in terms of bass response while Srh-840 in terms of clarity. WS99 are probably the less confortable between this three headphones. You can find a lot of information about them in this forum.

Best Luck!

You have some different 'phones in your list and I want to make sure you understand the difference between closed-back and open-back headphones.

Denon AH-D600 = Closed
sennheiser HD-558 = Open
Audio Technica AthPro700Mk2 = Closed
TDK Life ST750 = Closed (I think)

If you need to block outside noise, or you don't want to bother the people in the same room as you with your music, then you need closed-back 'phones, not open-backed. That would eliminate the Sennheisers. Of course, there are other Sennheisers that are closed-back.

The Pro 700 isn't even good to me. It has a ton of bass but its not very tight.

The D600 is better but its bass doesn't stand up to the WS99's, and they're extremely large.
