It's "world music", but if you want to hear something that really demonstrates what the format can do, get a copy of Buena Vista Social Club. Very simple recording but vivid hi-rez sound in 2-channel DVD-A. Amazes me every time I hear it. Can't understand a word, but I feel better every time I play it, too. Enthralling music from the great old musicians of Cuba whose music had been repressed by Castro. Everyone with a DVD-A player should have a copy! Cheers.

The Queen A Night at the Opera got some sort of award for being one of the top DVD-A's from last year.

I should also mention Blue Man Group, Audio is available in DVD-A. I love this CD, though I bet the surround mix is "gimmicky". That's okay, I would still love to hear it.
