I will have the woo audio wa7 arriving soon. I was wondering if anyone can recommend me a good dac to pair with it.
I was reading stuff and saw that the internal dac of the wa7 is okay, but not that great
 
I'm looking into a modi 2 or an odac. any recommendations will be much appreciated.

Well, these two are more or less the same quality level as the WA7 DAC. 
My advice would be to stick to the internal DAC until you can afford a real upgrade - e.g. Gungnir MB or Mojo.

I agree. Save up for Schiit Gungnir Multibit or Audio-gd DAC-19.

So I know this is old, idk how frowned upon rezzing a thread here is, but I just wanted to chime in because I have both the WA7 (with tp 2nd gen) and Mojo.
 
The Mojo Dac is not better than the second gen.  It seems generally a little less clear and the bass is noticeably lighter.  It's very smooth so it is somewhat enjoyable to use, but the stock one definitely has more detail.  I had my friend blind test it and he had the same results without knowing which he was listening to.
