Tripath TA2024 makes
into 4 Ohm: 15W stereo
into 6 Ohm: ~12W stereo
into 8 Ohm: 8W stereo
... and you can get a bit more power, if some distortion is OK.
With 2024, the problem is the 12-14 Volt maximum.
For more power into same speaker, you need more volts - I myself have built Amp11, it is a monoblock amp, that gives you 60+ watts: http://41hz.com/main.aspx?pageID=131
Amp9 is supposed to be good too, a 4-output amp that takes 24V:

For you, the chipamp may be the most simple - but I must say the Amp11 sounds Crazy good.
