Hey,
So I have a buddy who is a drummer, he has broken his pair of headphones; he was using beats though I told him that they were over priced and not nearly as good as what he could get for the cash. So now he wants to get a new pair of good over the ear headphones that will cancel a decent portion of the noise while he is drumming. He uses the headphones to drum along with songs. He doesn't have a ton of money to spend probably around $100-$120 tops. I suggested to him the headphones I am using which are BOSE AE2's and I love em. So what are your guys suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

HD 280 pro's did well for me.

HD280's have no bass extension, imo. You need bass extension for drumming, no?

Beats/Bose aren't for this forum, no offense. You'll get a lot of hate!

I'd suggest IEM's for drumming, like the Shure SE215 or SE115m, but IF you have to have over-ear, go with the Logitech Ultimate Ears UE6000 (around $100 on sale) or UE9000 even (if they're used or on sale they can be <$200, they also have active noise-cancelling if needed).

Marshall headphones are also popular for drumming/musicians. I've never tried them though, so I can't comment.
