If you don't mind the isolation, I think DR150 is pretty good at this price.
I've had the RP21, but I prefer DR150 to it. Better details across the board and most importantly a more natural sound. RP21 has bigger bass though. The thing is the bass of the Goldrings may be too punchy for some, it doesn't hang very long. The bass hits and ends quickly. As a rock can it is perfect, but I don't know about trance.
As for MS1, if your priority is high end detail and punchy bass, I think DR150 is better in this regard - better detail and the bass is more impactful. I think Grado is quite decent on genres other than rock, but they have very limited soundstage and bass might be too light for some genres.
I've yet to listen to D1000 and Q40 which seems to get very favorable reviews here.
