I just snagged of these for $10 shipped! At 10 feet, its a little longer than I would want, but it should be a good quality as far as dock/cables goes. Originally $46. I suppose it's also nice if offers the video option. Just thought I'd let people know.

That is a pretty sweet deal, any idea if you can get video out with the new ipod touch?

According to reviews at Amazon, no. Apple at some point designed the ipod to work with a proprietary cable. you won't be able to get video with this cable from newer ipods.

If you want to get video out of an ipod without an apple cable, it's pretty easy however. If you use a standard 3 wire video cable (red, yellow, white cables) with a mini plug termination, you simply have to play with the plugs until you hit a combo that works. i mean, the vellow cable (normally the video cable) won't be carrying the video signal. it will be coming through either the red or white cable instead. Apparently this hugely confounding solution flummoxed some people!
