I am trying to find the best replacement pads for my ATH-M50X's. They need to be bigger on the inside than the stock pads because my ears touch the insides. It's not a huge deal whether they are pleather, velour, or something else. I really don't want to sacrifice the sound signature too much for more comfort, especially the bass, I don't want it to become boomy or loose.

Pads I am looking at and considering:

Shure SRH940: http://www.amazon.com/Shure-HPAEC940-Replacement-Velour-Headphones/dp/B005OM06RG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415503765&sr=8-1&keywords=HPAEC940

Beyerdynamic DT250: http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-EDT250V-Headphone-Pads-Black/dp/B0016MF7W2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415503804&sr=8-1&keywords=beyerdynamic+dt250+pads

Brainwavs HM5: http://www.amazon.com/Brainwavz-Velor-Memory-Replacements-Earpads/dp/B00MFDX4YO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415503827&sr=8-1&keywords=hm5+pads

Also, I saw on a thread that all of Shure's pads are the same size so if the SRH940's pads will fit the M50X's, the SRH1540 pads will too?

I put the Beyerdynamic EDT250/280V Velour ear pads on my Sony MDR-V6, It does add comfort.
