Avid hacker for thirty years. Still trying to break 90. Quite possibly the best individual sport. Enjoyable in every aspect. Listening to music through headphones while playing golf (like most outdoor activities) would be tactically unsound. Besides, playing golf and mowing are when I like to think my "deep thoughts"!

I considered listening to music while playing golf to reset my mind after missing a shot, but thought it'd be pretty dangerous just in case you missed someone calling "Fore!" and got hit by a ball. Well, even though balls get hit nearby only once every four rounds or so at the county course, I figured if Tiger Woods didn't need to listen to music while playing, I don't.

I'm in my fourth summer playing golf and am still trying to break 100 consistently.
