So when I got a pair of AKG K240s, the jack was all messed up. The soldering was wrong and a bunch of the plastic was melted from near the terminals. It's also chromed not gold plate, so I'm thinking this is a good time to either replace with AKG or upgrade to gold plated.
 
Which would you suggest?
 
Where does one get a good gold plated TRS jack with strain relief?

In general Neutrik offers good quality parts. The new NP3 C/B looks like a nice 6.3mm jack...
