What do yall think of Tricky? Ever been to one of his concerts? I think his solo stuff is cool, and I love his stuff with Massive Attack.

never seen him live, but he's got some pretty cool stuff. I've actually been meaning to listen to him some more. I don't think his acting is anything special, but The Fifth Element is an awesome movie.

Argh! He's not coming here. I've seen Tricky three times, I think. Once at Mississippi Nights he cut the setlist short, announcing "This equipment is substandard. Good night." That pissed us off. But the shows were good. The set when he opened for Tool was short, but full of energy and really good.

I absolutely love Maxinquaye but haven't seen him life

does he still "have it"?

also are his other solo albums close to as good as Maxinquaye? should I check them out? is pre millennium tension the next best one after Maxinquaye?

If you don't have Massive Attack's Protection, it's very similar to Maxinquaye. I think Maxinquaye is fairly unique, but start with PMT and maybe Nearly God and go from there.
