I will be in Japan for a few days in the coming weeks and was wondering if anyone could suggest where I may go to check out hi-fi products. I will be in Tokyo for the most part. 
We've all seen the pictures from here about those headphone stores in Japan where they literally have hundreads of headphones on shelves and what not! 
Where could I go to check out some things? Recommendations? Etc.

Check out the shops in Akihabara. Aki has a rep of being an otaku haven, but the electronics district has some dope audiophile shops and headphone shops.  E-earphone was a clutch spot cause you can buy some decent headphones lightly used for a decent price.  You can also try all the headphones before you buy which is something I wasn't really used to, but was a ton of fun.

I did some research and it looks like Akihabara is indeed the place to go. So far, I've got Yodobashi Camera and e-Earphone on my list. That'll probably be enough..
