I d appreciate some information on this, i have a few stuff that emit the dreaded electrical "buzz" and I d like to solve it.
Glue/lacquer to shut coils up.

Yes... or epoxy
It's a whole lot easier if you can take 'em out of the board first. What exactly are you dealing with? "Glue" just sounds so, gluey, I'd think lacquer or epoxy.

I used simple "araldite" on the edges of my headcase transformer. Apply it and then fire a hairdryer on it so it becomes thin and penetrates the laminates.... worked wonders.
