i just really don't feel like learning the new interface. i renamed some files and put new tags on songs and i couldn't figure out how to take out the old versions from my ipod. the ephpod sync just seems so much more streamlined. maybe after this midterm week i'll have some time to figure it out. anyways, has anyone else found iTunes too much of an adjustment?

I really prefer iTunes despite a few minor faults (no always on top function, or maximize window to entire screen). I really like smart playlists based on rating and playcount.

I tried it and I think they made a mistake by having a "non-standard" windows user interface. I guess if you are on a Mac it looks normal but on a PC it just looks like they have some lazy programmers. Since I don't think I'll be buying any low quality ACC files (I prefer to buy the CD and rip my own) I don't see any reason to use it. I'll probably keep it loaded, but rarely use it (if I want to make smart playlists).

I think I'll give the Anapod Explorer a shot - I used Notmad back when I used to have a NJB3 and liked it.

usc goose: I was actually considering posting a similar thread. I just uninstalled itunes yesterday. I felt so clean when I loaded ephpod again.

This is interesting. I loved ephod when I used it. I guess it really does prove it's just a matter of preference.

I prefer Musicmatch

(well, for everything but the sync)
I used to use Ephpod and Outpod for everything else but am having a go with iTunes.

I like iTunes, I really like the way it works but it's missing some stuff which I find nice to have in Musicmatch. Being NJB3 centric I've also started to make an effort to use Notmad a bit more, then Creative support sent me a link for MediaSource which is their replacement for Playcenter. I looked at Foobar which struck me as too much of a vi of audio players and I'll leave that to the true geeks. Playing music is actually quite hard work...
