Man, I just listened to Rickie Lee Jones' rendition of Lush Life on CD. How easy that was and how beautiful it sounds. I remember when I still played the record (once I find my money tree I'll go vinyl again) it was such a b1tch to setup right. The dynamics are amazing and it would distort if you didn't have the cartridge setup correctly.

Just wanted to say that progress is not such a bad thing and it does make life easier at times.

I actually came to that record because Michael Brecker plays on it (I'm a Jazz fan) and the way Lush Life is recorded just blew me away. Having said that, I tried more of her because I really love her timing and phrasing, so I bought the LP with Chuck E.'s in Love and Pirates soon after.

Thanks for posting that link. I'm going to try and find some of those CD's. The one called "Low Kick and Hard Bop" is beckoning me
