Just realised that i've never posted this here before. This is what i use for gaming/voice communication:
SR80 with a thick pice of stiff wire (not sure what guage it is, but it retains its shape once bent) covered with heatshrink, whch is duct taped onto the headband. DIY padded headband cover (beyer style) over the top. Mic is one that came free with PC Gamer a while back (used to be single earphone, with a dangling mic ... cut off the earphone) blu tacked onto the end, with cable ties holding the cable in place.
