Pretty certain that you won't be able to find an 'off the shelf' option.

The only way i could think of would be to find a specialist silkscreen printers and see if they could do it. You'd probably need a high res photo of a complete set to start with, taken exacly square to the cup. And you'd need to take them apart to print on, cos getting ink in the drivers would be end of story.

Personally, i wouldn't bother.

i wouldn't even consider an off the shelf option. how freakin great would that be though! wondering of grado would take this job on. cuz if you need to take them apart and what not then there is no other option but the manufacturer.

I do recall that it was discussed here before and that it was kinda impossible...

Grado labs don't repair the HP series, only Joseph Grado does. I don't think he'll be able to do that job, he just polish out the letterings of the cups when it's almost incomplete.

yeah they do look cool, but im not about to take those matter into my own hands and wipe away. when the letter go they go on their own.

im more of the type to get them back to their original state if possible. they are a superb headphone and i want them to be as "sexy looking and sounding" as they were once designed to be.

ive got to search this further and ask around a bit, cuz if it can ever be done in a safe manner it would almost be a no brainer. on my part at least!

Would be great to have the option to restore the lettering to 100% original state.
I personally would never buy an HP1000 without all the lettering intact. But 'might' think different if there were an option to fully restore them.

well as was said the only real safe and secure way is to have joe grado himself do it cuz the company wont handle HP1000s anymore.

maybe a specialist silk screen printer as mentioned above. any other avenues to look at?

Why did they stop making them anyway?

Limited edition, if I am not wrong...
The number of units to be produced were most probably set during development, hence the HP1000 name.

Sure would be great if Grado made a successor though. Dropping all the plastic parts and use aluminum instead. And of course make them sound just as nice as they look.

I think that if you send the cup to front panel express they could engrave them for you, not sure...also try to find some kind of laser engraving artist around...that will be a permanent solutions rather than painting them again...
