Hello, this is my first post, so if I break any rules somehow please let me know!

I've recently noticed that with my Shure SE215's plugged into my Nexus 6P, listening to extreme quality (320kbps) music on spotify at low volumes, there will be a horrible hissing sound during quiet parts of songs. This completely drowns out nuances and is very irritating. I was wondering if there was any sort of software fix or some sort of piece of equipment that I could buy to filter this noise. I have not noticed this noise in my VMODA M100's, and have tested my Shures on an iPhone to confirm its not the IEM's.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Your Nexus 6P generates some background noise, and your Shure earphone is sensitive enough for the noise to be audible. The iPhone generates less noise, and the VModa headphone is less sensitive, so you don't hear the noise problem when using either of those.

I don't know of a way to reduce the noise from the Nexus, but you can decrease the sensitivity of the Shure using a resistance adapter. Search for "Etymotic resistor adapter" on ebay.
