I live in the UK and I am planning to build my first headamp
Can anyone please recommend me some websites for getting different parts and tools to get started??

to tell you the truth, I don't live in the UK, but there's some good info for building your first headamp at tangent's cmoy tutorial: http://www.tangentsoft.net/audio/cmoy-tutorial/

I think it's generally agreed that this is the best amp design for your first project. Some european/uk distributors listed at tangent's site include farnell (http://uk.farnell.com), rs components (http://www.rswww.com), and conrad (http://www.conrad.com)

I usually buy from Farnell (Minimum order 20GBP on credit card) or RS (No minimum order with an account). If you're buying 100GBP+ then Digikey makes sense as the pricing is lower than either Farnell or RS.

Guys I tried to get all my parts for the cmoy in maplin and rapidelectronics (it's much more convenient for me)
But since I don't know anything about electronics,I don't actually know what capacitors or resistors etc. I should get,as I can't find any that looks like the ones stated in the required parts at tengentsoft.net.
Is there anything other websites or books which I can look into??
