[Captivate]

Hi all,
 
I've got my icon mobile and have my steelseries gaming headset plugged into the appropriate inputs, but the mic just doesn't pick anything up, although the audio comes through just fine. I know for sure that the mic is functioning just fine as it works when I plug it straight into my logitech keyboard's headphone and mic inputs.
 
Anyone have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? I really just want to get it working with skype.

Hi, I had the same problem as you. I wanted to use my Zalman clip-on gaming mic with the mobile for gaming but I found out that the mic input jack only accepts cell-phone type microphones (the ones that have both voice in and audio out.) I ended up buying one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT-MP100-Headphone-Adapter/dp/B001USYI2M to use with my IEMs for gaming. Sadly, doesn't look like any standard PC microphones will work.
