I just bought some e500's off of the FS forum, and I was wondering if there were any known issues with these?

I heard that there are some issues with the cable.

Also, what tips sound the best in your opinion?

Lastly, are there any mods that will increase SQ?

Theres not a lot to say here. There are many reports of people having a problem with the cable but you can easily send them in for repair even if they are no longer under warranty. Tips are a personal preference so you'll just have to try them for yourself. There are no mods that I know of.

but Shure takes care of it.
The black foam tips sound the best/are the most comfortable of all the Shure tips I've tried.

Cable issue, that's it. And if u don't end up liking its signature, am sure lots of ppl will be willing to take it out of your hands.

The general opinion is that the black foamies are the favourite.
I prefer the normal foamies though so each to their own.
