Hello
Just wondering if anyone can give me a little advice.

I just upgraded my audigy 2 zs to a xonar d1 and just want to know if i have it set up properly!

I mostly listen to music through my 2.1 aego m's and senneheiser hd280. At the moment im listening to music with the 'hi-fi' mode switched on, within the xonar control panel. I am using Foobar with the xonars asio driver and I have the sample rate set up within the xonar control panel as 44.1khz. I mostly listen to 44.1khz music so thought this would be the best option (so that it doesn't have to resample.)

I'm no audiophile but the sound is better than my audigy 2zs - its not a lot better though - the sound is more detailed and the bass is louder (although that is not necessarily a good thing!)

Well what you hear will still be limited by other factors such as your player software and your headphones or speakers. "Hi-FI" mode just uses the straight signal, but if you would rather use the EQ, or the Dolby enhancements then your going to have to use another mode.
