Anyone having trouble updating? With my device in DFU mode, DfuWizard gets to the point where it starts the upgrade process, then immediately fails with, "The upgrade operation was stopped while attempting to prepare the BlueCore module for the firmware upgrade".

Device seems to work well otherwise. Perhaps I already have the latest firmware? (Purchased Oct 16)

Dear friend,

If you bought the BTR3 from Oct 16, it is in latest firmware version. You don't need to update the firmware again.

When I open the Fiio App to check the BTR3, it says that the functions are only available with the latest firmware version. However, when I go through the update stps, when i get to the "browse" part, there's no ".DFU" file anywhere to be found on my computer (which should be the firmware update file). Therefore I can't update to the latest version. Basically the update software doesn't download the DFU file to my computer. Help?

Hello, I am reaching out to see if someone at Fiio can help. I contacted Fiio about a problem with my BTR3. I received replies and exchanged messages three times with the support team. The last reply was November 16th when they asked for more information so that I could send in my BTR3 to them for testing and repair. I sent the invoice receipt information they asked for, but no reply. After my contact attempt on November 16, I have contacted them again on November 21 and then again on November 27 asking for follow-up but I haven't received any reply. The last communication from Fiio support remains from back on November 16th. Can someone from Fiio contact me to assist further?
The only case ID# I see is from the email subject: ud:01490016

Thank you for your reply with further instructions. I look forward to having a working BTR3 again soon. I really like the product and I miss using it.

just received mine I wanted to check the firmware only to discover no MAC version available :frowning2:

shocking since MAC community is huge now....

You could check the firmware version of your BTR3 in your mobile phone via the FiiO Music APP.

Hi Fiio,
Are you guys actually working on a mac version for the firmware upgrade? You said you had been working on it since September last year, it's mid April now and there's still nothing. I don't think this is fair as there are many people like myself who own a macbook.

No, we could not provide the tool for updating the firmware of BTR3 in MAC system because the supplier of the chip did not offer that tool for MAC system to us. Not sure why you are misunderstanding.
But a user provide a method for updating in linux or MAC: Click here
You may have a try if you would prefer.
