i have heard german maestro gmp8.35 is same phone as mb quart qp805.however, there are four different versions of mb quart qp805.
qp805demo, qp805hs, qp805monitor,and qp805m.
I think qp805monitor is the same model as gmp8.35. I am not 100% sure.
Do anybody know about this for sure?
also someone told me dbi pro700 and dbi pro705 use same body structure as german maestros but use different speakers. would dbi phones be alternative to gmp 8.35?

Yes, the MB Quart QP 805 Monitor is the same model as the GMP 8.35 D Monitor.

do they sit around ear or on your ear?
do you know how much they cost ?

The sit around the ear, very compy and better isolation.
Here is more the info about the prices: GermanMAESTRO Shop - SERIOUS ABOUT AUDIO

You can email them and order directly from the site.

BTW, a lot of pads fit the 8.35, like the beyer, akg, and stax pads.

do you know anything about dbi pro 700 or 705 phones?
do they have any relation with german maestro?

They looks like they make by German Maestro for listing stations, you need to find out the specifications of the dbi pro 700/5 and compare to the GMP 8.35. Check if they have the same drivers @ 35 ohms. dbi Pro700 Commercial Model | dbi International

dbi claims to put their own drivers in the pro 700/5. one is 35 ohms and one is 40 ohms. i have had both - still have the 700

Very interesting, I wonder who make the drivers for them. Doesn't look like they make they own drives.

I'm not sure if they are 100 or 300 ohms, and the stock pads are the same as the QP-250. I will try to find the old MB Quart brochure.

The pads on mine are covered in a rubbery plastic that is reminiscent of an incontinence undersheet (at least I imagine they're what incontinence undersheets are like...), not so pleasant to the touch.

All of the drivers are in the 8xx series?
How do you find the differences between the drivers and the pads?

They are small.
See this thread: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/com...-quart-404143/
The GMP450 PRO and GMP435 S eaqrpads are oval-shaped, just like the GMP8.35.
I have the GMP250, and can't stand the stock earpads, because of being not large enough.
