Generally, how do you describe 'tube sound'?

First, I will admit that I did not Search.
Now, from what I read around here, in previous posts, it seems like 'tube sound' is warm, strangely musical, yet quite detailed; however it can be a bit heavy on the low end.
Now, I line-out my Marantz PCD520 to my Lloyd's H430 receiver, using beyerdynamic DT880-32 (2005). I put +2 clicks on Bass and -2 clicks on Treble (those may or may not be dB's). Here's what I get: lots of warmth, a low-end that is just slightly dominating, has a good condensation (punchy yet not tight); very realistic Mids and a 'juuuuust right' Treble.
Also a bunch of details that I did not (and still cannot) hear from the PCD520's headphone-out, using Turbine Pro-Gold or the SE530.
Which I like. A lot. Something I qualify as 'epic Nelly Furtado-ness'.
Is this 'tube sound'? The receiver is a solid state, with STK080 thick film hybrid IC power amplifiers.
Does this mean I like 'tube sound'?
