Ive been a musician a long time. Just recently dove into custom IEM's. Now i look and see you guys having some high priced amps.
 
So my question is Where is a good place to start. Im not looking to now or prob ever spend lots on a amp. (as most of my studio stuff will have good outputs).
 
So I want to know a good place to start... Im currently eyeing a FiiO e5 because its only 20$ and i wouldnt feel bad if i dont like it. Any other suggestions out there??
 
Only gonna be running a 2nd gen iPod touch and my macbook pro

E5 is waste of money imho.
If you want ipod And mac you need an amp/DAC in one. Like fiio E7 is a cheap entry point.

E7 is a good recommendation, also look at the new E11, I think its cheaper and perfroms above its price point
