I have a Geek Sfi  DAC -- everything but the balanced outputs.

It has worked perfectly for 9 months and the sound in my headphone system has been really good -- Hifiman HE6 etc.

About three weeks ago the DAC started cycling through the gain settings as it tried to play. It would play less than 30 seconds of a selection and start to cycle which cut out the DAC operation was to power down the DAC.

I have been experimenting with settings and other things and what I discovered was that the problem started after a Windows 10 update -- which is out of my control.

I disconnected the DAC from my main system ( a real pain in the XXXX) and placed the Geek Pulse in its place. It was then connected to a dedicated music server that is a linux based server -- not a windows laptop -- and it performed perfectly.

I have contacted Light Harmonic labs about this problem. If you are experiencing this problem with any of your GEEK products, you may want to determine if it is this software problem.
