I cant find another thread like this and I'm interested myself in what people come up with.. the title pretty much says it all

 a few guidelines:

1. list amps, dacs, or other components that measure well - as in low distortion, low jitter, flat frequency response and so on.
2. PROVIDE PROOF - in the form of measurements made by the company or a 3rd party.
3. NO FLAMES - it either measures well or it doesnt.  There's not much room for personal opinion or subjective listening impressions regarding specs or a graph

Thanks!

A few to get the ball rolling:

Dacs:

Behringer uca-202 -for $29 its a world beater -  extensively measured by... he who shall not be named (see O2 amp below for "details" - but here is their site  -http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/UCA202.aspx

Benchmark Dac1 - all models - extensive measurements on site -

HRT Dacs - extensive measurements on site - http://www.highresolutiontechnologies.com/

Centrance Dacs - Extensive measurements on site. - http://centrance.com/

Amps:

O2 (objective2 amp) - cant link to evidence but it exists in spades, what a shame,  google is your friend.

Benchmark Dac1 - all models, extensive measurements on site  - http://www.benchmarkmedia.com/

Players:

Sansa clip+ - cant provide evidence...;-\ see O2 amp

As a DAC, ASUS Xonar Essence STX. I won't include the amp because its output impedance isn't ideal.

Fiio E11 as measured by Voldemort, for the price and portability anyway. Didn't meet rated power especially with low impedance loads, but otherwise its only real weakness was a mediocre crosstalk.

HRT only has specs, right? I'd like to see graphs. Stereophile didn't have very impressive measurements of the original MusicStreamer, there's no guarantee the manufacturer specs are trustworthy.

you appear to be correct, well i do see 1 jitter graph...though the specs they provide are far more detailed than many other companies.

ha! i should have called him Voldemort in my post as well.

Oppo BDP-95 by Home Theater High Fidelity.

Here's another one.

Since we had a few budget components, it's time for total overkill.

DCS Debussy:

It was a pleasure to test such a superbly engineered product as the dCS Debussy. Its measured performance is close to the state of the art and the fact it includes a true asynchronous USB input is a bonus.—John Atkinson

Weiss DAC202 / DAC2:

The Weiss DAC202 is the best measuring D/A Processor I have measured in my quarter century career at Stereophile. It just doesn't get any better than this!—John Atkinson

Also, to be honest, the Behringer doesn't really measure exceptionally well, it is however performing very well on the test bench considering its price. And the HRT Streamers, at least the first gen don't really measure well (google HRT streamer stereophile)

Sticking with more reasonably price DACs, the Cambridge DacMagic and the Musical Fidelity M1 DAC perform very well on the test bench. Their updated versions with async USB should be at least performing on the same level.

Haha, look at that 24-bit noise floor

For overkill, there's also The Wire, measurements in its diyaudio thread.

You'll be happy to discover that the Weiss DAC 202 measures even better

for cheaper (relatively speaking, it's still $4K if you go for the pro version of the DAC 202).

Dwell not too long on the differences between 0.0005% THD and 0.0002% THD. Therein lies madness...
