I have ATH-M50s and simply want to be able to game with my friends online.  How could I go about doing this in the cheapest and most efficient way since the headphones do not have a microphone?  Thanks!

Asus Xonar DG (PCI) sound card, $27 and there is a $10 mail in rebate.
and buy any add-on microphone you like.
Should be able to find both on Amazon

Oops, assumed you were using a Windows PC.
You could get an A/V receiver and run a HDMI cable from the PS4 to the A/V receiver.
Then HDMI from A/V receiver to TV/monitor.
Yamaha's come with their own "Silent Cinema" headphone surround sound.
Buy a used receiver off Craigslist or eBay.
