I'm trying to find a pair of headphones for gaming, preferably $100-$150 or less, though if there really isn't anything in that range I could spend more. Honestly I want to spend as little as possible for a half-decent pair since I'm not going to use them very much. I play every sort of game. I usually play with surround sound speakers and it's a pretty important feature for me in FPS, but I understand that a large sound stage is what I need to be looking for in headphones for a similar effect. I'm also going to use them with movies fairly often.
I've been looking at the ATH-AD700, which is always mentioned but I don't know if it will have enough bass for me. I've also looked at gaming headsets, which I know everyone here despises, but I would buy them if the AD700 doesn't have enough bass. I'm not a basshead at all, but every time someone mentions the AD700s, someone quickly complains about low bass so I'm wary about that. If you guys have a recommendation for headphones in that price range with a big sound stage and ok bass?
I've been looking at the DT990 pro on the high end if I have to, but I'd rather not spend that much.
Thanks!
