As the title suggests, someone is selling me a brand new set of RAZER CARCHARIAS for a little cheaper than the current market price, so should I pick them up or do I have any better options in this price range and similar features such as microphone? Also are the RAZER CARCHARIAS headset any good for music?

Vastly depends on how you are using them. I would pick them up for gaming and have a separate set of phones for music/movies/etc. I have the carcs and they are uber comfortable and made well, but the sound lacks power and clarity. If you got a deal on them though, you would be hardpressed to find a better headset that cheap.

dose it need to be a gaming headset? 99% of the time its better to buy a good pair of headphones and uses a external mic or a mod mic, I have my audio rig and a $15 desktop mic I got at best buy.

No doesn't have to be a gaming one entirely, but I will be using it for both multimedia and games so a mic with the headset is necessary for games.

I'm getting these brand new RAZER CARCHARIAS for about $60, so are there any headsets with a mic better than these for this price? Or am I just dreaming and I should just take up on this bargain?

well the best pc gaming headset I have tried for the price was the plantronics gamecom 780, but if you have a bigger budget I would get a pair of good headphones and add a mic.
