Anyone else see the Gadget Show (UK) review of noise cancelling headphones this week?

Sony MDR-NC500D
Bose QC15
Sennheiser PXC-450

Two things stood out for me. Firstly was how badly the Sennheisers faired. I'm wondering whether this was due to a more neutral sound signature (I don't know if they are) and/or a lack of amping. Be interesting if anyone has thoughts on this, as it's the usual thing trotted out on here.

The second is how well the Bose did. I know that often it's not that Bose are bad but overpriced. Still, I wouldn't have expected such a resounding verdict over the Senns if they were that overpriced.

What Hifi recently gave the Bose five stars and it won a group test of NC headphones. It was between them and the Goldring NS1000, which I have and you can get for £50 at times off Play.com as to which are the 'best' NC headphones. I tried out the Bose at an Apple Store for a short while and liked them very much, but not enough to make it worth changing from my Goldrings.
