Hello Head-Fi,

I'm looking for a full size sealed headphone under 250 euro's.
The reason that I want a sealed headphone is because of problems with leakage and isolating back-ground noise.

I will use it at home with a 80GB Ipod classic.
I listen to all kinds of music but more to house, dubstep and drum 'n' bass.
Most music is mp3.

I found two good headphones on the internet but I'd like to hear your opinion about these headphones.
The headphones are the AKG K550 (190 euro) and the Audio-Technica M50 (150 euro).
Or are there better headphones on the market?

Hey mate...check this thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/527451/ultrasone-pro-900-appreciation-thread

I listen to allot of dubstep and I have the DT770 80OHM currently (which I love for EDM) I can reccomend them highly but only if you buy a amp like Fiio E11

I have the PRO900 on the way and are ment to be one of the best cans out there for EDM (rip apart poor quality recordings though so if you dont use 320kbps then maybe give em a miss)

However if you want to save some cash maybe look into M-Audio Q40 or these are meant to be great for the price http://www.tektica.com/dj-headphone-pro.html#fo_c=48&fo_k=f52692e4d94efdded76797c03579fef8&fo_s=gshuk (better than M50???? I may need to try these out!)
look at the last couple of pages of this thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/541654/denon-dn-hp700-review-and-comparison-to-the-ah-d7000/300#post_8390406

Also if your a basshead then look into getting a Digizoid ZO2 its a mini amp...and has 30 bass levels its amazing, i love it...theres a thread for it on here too if you wanna read about it!

I will recommend to try Denon D2000, Philips Fideleo L1, Sony ZX1000, Ultrasone Pro900 and they all are very detailed yet fun to listen, if you add AMPs later then they will improve more from your current portable rig.

How about putting where you live (country) in your profile, might help with giving advise.
The ATH-M50 is good for music (and bass), but the price (150 Euros) is high, here in the USA, it's been as low as 100 Euros ($125 US) during the past year.
The AKG K550 price 190 Euros ($240 US) is good (low), here in the USA, the K550 currently sells for 220 Euros ($280 US).
The K550 should have a better all around sound then the ATH-50M.
I would say go for the K550.

AKGK550 and ATH-M50 are great close sealed headphones, However both of them have their own unique characteristics.
In general, AKGK550 wins in sound stage, mids & high and ATH-M50 wins in bass (low).
If you have money, get both of them.
