I have finally decided to change my cdp as I couldn't help but to feel something abit wrong with the presentation. Its abit laid back and the vocal was not as alive as I would like. So I brought along my amp and headphone to shops to try out cd players. Tried rega apollo, roksan , nad and cambridge audio 650c. Settle on the CA one after a few hours of audition.  Back home, I had done a/b the arcam cd192 and CA 650c and my initial impression was that  arcam cd192 sounded more refined and weighty but CA's more sparkling especially for the vocal.

For now i cannot accurately judge CA 650c's sonic performance as its fresh out of the box and it requires 36 hr run in as recommended by the manufacturer.

Anyone else 'downgrades' for a sake of different sound signature? haha

After 2 &1/2 days of continuous running in , I can finally be able to conclude that my new modded 650c sounds better than the old cd192 in the way I desire.
