LTUCCI too!

EDIT: Just to add to the stream of compliments at the risk of sounding repetitive, this is an extremely generous contribution you are both considering. Props! =)

I'd really love to get a hold of these headphones. I'm a student living in Sydney, Australia, so that might put me out of the running straight away, but in case not, I shall carry on.

I use a cheap mp3 discman to listen to my music, with the mx 400's recommended to me here. I intended to buy the px100s, but the money fell through, and I never ended up getting them. I am pretty much saving for an iPod and some decent headphones, and it would be great if I could get these!

My favourite band by far is Radiohead. After that, Flaming Lips, the Beatles, Wilco and Interpol. I love bjork, as well as a lot of other bands like sigur ros, new pornographers and modest mouse.

I dont expect you to send out phones all the way to aus, but I wanted to give it a shot, and commend you on giving out headphones, its something that I think is a really nice gesture.

Do I still count?

I been lurking for like over a month now, my current setup are a Riovolt SP50, which I won like 2 years ago during freshman orientation at my college, I have never used it since I got it (1. the earbud come with it sux 2. there's no remote for it and none of my pants pocket is big enough for it to fit in)

Umm, right now I only listen music from my computer, which has a audigy2 oem (where's my gold connectors? same as retail my *ss) to a Sony mdr-605 (and I thought it sound good when I got it, plus it's soooo comfortable to wear... not anymore though, since the foam pad weared out and I'm wearing it "naked")

The music I listen to: Jap and Chinese pop if I can get any, Tool, Radiohead, Brand New, random punk rock my friend send me (Static Lullaby, Arch Enemy, antiflag...), Avril Lavigne, Blink 182, Disturbed, Eminem, Evanescence, Linkin Park, zero 7...

I am saving money for a A900 and a tube amp right now, but I don't see it happening anytime soon, I only work part-time and still in debt from the textbooks... plus I think I am addicted to fatwallet now, just blow my money on a camera and memory card for it

I've been registered for a while but I only have 40 posts...don't visit too much except when I have an audio question.

My sources are a PC and...a PC.

Laptop and desktop.

Music I listen to includes classical, mostly Mozart. I also listen to Rob Dougan-type music; he did a number of tracks for the Matrix and Reloaded soundtracks; if you don't know which ones, you can look them up. I also like Garbage, Rage Against the Machine, Chemical Brothers, and pop music from the mid-late 90s (ah, those were the days of simple catchy melodies

)

These look like they would be very useful for me to use with my laptop in the library and in my bed when my roommate is asleep (since our beds are bunked)

Posts: See to left.
Cans: PX100 that I bought last month on the reccomendation from people here. They were my first pair of decent headphones. Before that I had some crappy Maxwells and the Plug which I immediately gave away.
Source: Panasonic SL-MP70 I bought last year. It's my only source for music right now. I dont own a stereo system of any kind. I do have a PC but house rules are I cant play any music of any kind on it. Nobody likes my music anyway.
Favorite bands:

I love music and I own about 151 albums (thanks to college LAN) of all kinds of genres. I listen to mostly Indie, Trip hop/Electronica, Garage, Alternaive and Punk. Here are some of my favs.

Well, huh. I guess i win, in the case of who has the crappiest headphones. I have a only one pair of phones and they are the first sony wrap around phones that came out, the MDR-G52. I got them when in middle school and they were the cool thing to have, and I have never got any new phones. I use them on my 6 year old sony cd player and my computer when my roomates what me to turn down the music. I use my headphones everyday (suprised these sonys have lasted me so long). I have been on this site a few times trying to find a good cheap set of phones but i have yet to order, had to buy books and stuff for school. I probably would have gotten some better phones if the zen xtra i had ordered did not have a bad hdd (sent back for a refund). With some good phones, i may be inspired to try another mp3 player when i have some more money. I would like have some good phones because i am a stickler for good sound. I hate to hear any crackle or distoriton on my stuff. I mainly listen to rock. I like the vines, the killers, offspring, queens of the stone age, bad religion, thin lizzy, led zeppelin, blindside, letter kills, modest mouse (the older stuff), everything rock I like (this is just a bit of what i have and enjoy listening to on an everyday bases). I have over hundred cds of music, just sitting there for me to listen to. Well that is my story, enjoy.

TerryMX and Nismo96,

A very kind and fun offer. I am game, just registered yesterday after my KSC-50 went belly-up(earclip broke off after 10 mo of good service).

I came to Head-Fi seeking advice on what to do next for headphones. I spent about 3 hours over the course of the last 40 hours searching this site for info on entry level/budget headphones. I must admit I am not an audiophile...yet, but I want to make sure I realize my headphone options. I was leaning towards the KSC-35...until I found out about the KSC-75. Still not sure about either, since the feedback on KSC-75 and cycling/excercise is a bit mixed. However, I have special pair of cycling phones...more on this later.

My 2nd choice were canalphones. I have never tried canalphones and was certainly curious. I was attracted to the minimalist size and they looked very durable, which is important to me since I am harsh on phones and everything else I own. Plus, canalphones look pretty cool to me, people who wear them, always look self-content within their world. I always wonder what they are listening to. Anyhows, my search had me leaning towards sony ex51/71 sl's. I went out to Best Buy to check them out, but I didn't have the balls to open the packaging and stick em in my ears. Waste of a trip. I came home and searched head-fi again and found reviews of sharp md33 and pioneer se-cl30. Oh boy, more confusion over the number of canalphones within my budget...and I am still not sure if canalphones work for me in fit/style/fear of blowing eardrum out. The pioneer se-cl30 may or may not be my dream cans, but I am certainly curious about them and canalphones in general.

I love my Rio Nitrus after 10 mo of ownership, it has revigorated my passion for sound. Next to a digital camera, my Nitrus was the best thing I owned during a 3 month tour of Southeast Asia earlier this year. I use my Nitrus at home and for my bike commute everyday. Now, I want more gb and I'm aiming towards a Karma/Chroma/Dell DJ20(recent price drop under $200 at dell site). I enjoy listening to underground hip-hop (MURS, Brother Ali), pop-hop(Roots, Snoop, Tribe), funkdafied jazz(Herbie, Miles, MMW), Grateful Dead, Tom Waits and even X-mas music(project under works..but Johnny Cash's Christmas Spirit is a must hear).

Oh...and about my other pair of phones that I wear while cycling and wearing my TuneBelt armband...ATH EQ2. Anyone hear of them? Clip-ons, short cord(36 cm..perfect for armband and my stature), U-shape neck cord, weigh about .3 oz. Last year, I bought them in Japan at 100 yen store for 100 yen(about 86 cents at the time). I wish I bought 100 of em. I cannot find them via google. I dread the day that they die. The fit is light and flat to the ear with no wind penatration while cycling. Driver is not powerful, low sound leak, but for cycling in the city, they work for me. Sound quality must be a joke to most audiophiles, but I find them acceptable for transit. If there is interest, I can do a full review of my ATH EQ2.

Nonetheless, please accept my entry towards your contest. I hope you are enjoying it. and thanks to all(my future grammy speech voice) who host and contribute to this site. I have learned much in short time and have had fun doing so. This contest was an excellent opportunity to chime in.

I am a music lover, jazz and rock(Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Brad Mehldau, Noir Desir, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Franz Ferdinand, Queen, Jimi Hendrix...) have a collection encoded in vrb 192 in eac, sounds like 16 in mx 300 plus i listen to them in a service bus which has Turkish pop on crap speakers + snob chat, i don't want those, just give miles davis and led zeppelin, yess.. Hmm, this sounds like begging gotta sit up yes.. better. Puts on mx300..........

*Crying on knees* I beg you, release me of this musical torture, i need muusiiiiic.

Well kudos to you and congrats to the winner(i'll work some more and buy a used v6 maybe, that's if i don't win )

Edit for fav add., sometimes classical like Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky, RageATM, Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers, White Stripes, Sigur Ros(great in winter), Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ali Jackson

And thaaanks so much for supporting new people who can't afford much, all hail Terry and Nismo, long live all kinds of giving. Unfortunately,we don't have many people who believe in any of it anymore.
